Meet Atheana and Justin. Wonderful couple and a super fun wedding!!
We were invited to submit a selection of our work to the John M Parrott Art Gallery in Belleville to be displayed as part of the “Shot” exhibit. Starting January 9 and running to February 13, 2014, the show features 5 photographers from the area. We were given free reign to display the style of work we wanted. We thought long about what we would like to show – be it wedding portraits or Family. We decided to take a chance and show some work we’ve been working on and are very proud of. I’ll admit, we were concerned as to how it might be received as they are a view of ourselves but not neccesarily in our world with our rules of physics. These were immensly fun and satisfying to work on. In the process of coming up with ideas, we’ve created a list of other works we want to create over the months ahead. Don’t get me wrong – weddings and family shoots are still our main goal. I imagine there may be opportunities to blend the two from time to time too. Here are a few of the images. Come down to the gallery at 254 Pinnacle Street and go to the 3rd floor to see the rest and see what the areas local talent can create. Also, please let us know what you think of them. Cheers!!
The Fall is becoming one of the most popular times of the year for weddings for us. For good reason too. We’d like you to meet Shalagh and Troy who were married in Kingston, Ontario. Kingston is such an amazing town to have and capture a wedding. It threatened rain all day but held off till we had just finished all of our outdoor shots, then rained the rest of the night. No one minded though as the party went on to late into the night. Shalagh started her day prepping at the Frontenac Club Inn followed by the wedding at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Congratulations Shalagh and Troy.
Have to love pumpkins in a picture
Dad’s pride and joy – his daughter Shalagh first, the car second.
There really were a lot of guests, it just St. Mary’s in Kingston is a very big church.
Can’t resist doing something creative like this when I see such a beautiful door in a church.
Shalagh bought this lounge specifically for pictures on her wedding day.
