Belleville Bridal Show

Wow – that really went by fast.  My wife (Beth) and I just spent the past couple of weeks preparing for the Belleville Bridal Expo held last night – It went fantastic!!!  I have to give the credit for the creative booth design to my lovely and amazing wife who put in so much time getting ready and shopping for the decorations.  As well, we would never have managed to get this done without the help of Carol and Kristina.  Kudo’s to both of you for the awesome work you both did pitching in.  We had sooooo much fun talking to all of the brides and their friends and family – showing off the work we are so proud of.  2012 is going to be an incredible year for us – I can’t wait to get started.

Maggie and Kyle are getting married…. Someday….

Meet Maggie and Kyle.  They’re going to get married.  We don’t know when yet, but they certainly make a fun couple.   I had a chance to hang out with them for an evening a few weeks ago at her Mom and Dad’s place just north-east of Belleville.  What a beautiful area to live – as you can see from these images.  Enjoy the show and let me know with a comment if you like these pictures.  Cheers.

What a memorable weekend. Michel and Ron were Married!!

I have to say, I put in a few extra hours with these two guys but barely noticed the time going by.  This has to be about the best planned and organized wedding I’ve been to yet.  We actually started the day before by going up to Ottawa for the rehearsal party followed by getting up early the next morning to go with Michel to get his hair done.  Michel has trusted this woman with his hair for 17 years and certainly wasn’t going to change now.   Returning back to Ontario to pick up Sue at the Rideau Centre and then back to the hotel to get ready.  The wedding itself was beautiful and went off without a hitch.  Then we were off again to the Experimental Farm for some post wedding group shots.   From there, we went to Bill and Gail’s place for some refreshments (Thanks so much) and a quick group shot and then back to the Albert At Bay Hotel for the reception.  I have to say, the first dance for this couple was something I won’t forget.  If you really want the details, leave me a comment and I’ll fill you in on the fun.  Please enjoy this short selection of some of the highlights.  Congratulations to both of you.  Cheers.

What unique pictures. I love the one with the umbrella and the group photo is great. The only thing better than these great pictures was the wedding itself.

Fantasy Portraits for the School Fun Fair.

I’m a little late posting these, but still wanted to show everyone some fun we had at the Queen Victoria School Fun Fair last month.  About two weeks before the end of the school year, my kids school put on a fun fair.  We wanted to help where we could, so we donated a couple of portrait prizes but also offered to run a photo booth.  We had to put a bit of a twist on it though, so thought a Fantast Photo Booth would be well received by the kids.  Wow – we’re we right.  I thought I’d be running around with my camera trying to drum up business.  Nope.  They were lined up out the door.  As it was, we shot 46 different kids in any of about 5 types of poses.  The most popular, of course, was the Star Wars shots – here’s one of Dylan…

And here’s my son, Evan, in a different scene…

Now, of course, we had to have something for the little girls too (although a surprising number also chose a Star Wars pic).  Here’s a shot of my daughter, Ella, as a Fairy…

It took a lot of work to get all the kids composited into the proper scenes and then emailed out to them.  We’re already coming up with even better ideas for next year.  Stay tuned…

WOW! These are great pictures.
Ron is a fan of Star Wars you know.
Well, too bad we don’t have kids.
Great job.

Michel and Ron’s Engagement Shoot in Ottawa

This is definitely going to be a fun wedding.  I can’t imagine a couple who could be more fun-loving than Michel and Ron.  We shot their engagement session on a beautiful spring afternoon in Ottawa and had a hoot doing it.  Wow – talk about a great location for pictures.  Everywhere I turned, it was a beautiful setting for some shots.  I think I hit a record for shots taken at an engagement session.  Here is just a small sampling of some of the images we got.  Oh – by the way, Michel was very cruel.  He took us into a building with the most beautiful stairway – great lighting, lines, etc.  I asked security if it would be ok to take a couple of pictures of our happy couple here.  They were very nice, but also very firm with the NO.  Damn.  Oh well, enjoy…

I had a great time posing for these wonderful pictures David. I did have the time of my life. Looking forward to the wedding coming up very fast. We did rent a limousine for our transportation so no worries for driving or parking for that matter.

See you on July 16, 2011.
